~Excerpt~

We walked out of the restaurant and down the hall into the main lobby of the hotel, my eyes scanning for any photographers. I really didn't want my face all over the tabloids tomorrow.

"I had a great time meeting you today. So, what now?" Slade asked as he looked deep into my eyes.

"I don't know," I whispered. I didn't want the afternoon to end.

"I don't want to leave you just yet, Jewel," he whispered in a sexy tone.

I bit my bottom lip and started to fidget. "Then don't." I took a deep breath, trying to figure out everything that was racing through my head. "Would you like to come to my suite for a drink, maybe?" I couldn't believe I'd just asked him that, but I knew what I wanted, and at the moment it was him.

"I thought you'd never ask."

We stepped in the elevator and the doors closed. We were alone. Before I could process what I was doing I was kissing him. The simple kiss set all the nerves in my body on fire. The elevator stopped and I pulled away as the doors opened.

"This is my floor," I said breathlessly.

We walked into the hallway in silence. The tension between us was so strong. We reached my suite and I swiped my card to open the door. I could feel his gaze on me, it was making me nervous and turning me on at the same time. My stomach was in knots as I walked in, but not the bad kind of knots, the I-want-to-jump-him kind of knots. He was making me crazy. I truly just wanted to go with what I was feeling. I was so attracted to him. As soon as the door shut Slade pushed me against the wall and started kissing me.

"Jewel, you are so alluring," he said as he kissed my neck.

"Slade," I moaned. I could feel how hard he was as he pressed harder into me.

"I want you," he said as his hand grazed my breast. "Do you want me?"

"Yes!" My heart was pounding in my chest as I led him to the bed. His urgent lips were on mine. He unzipped my sundress and it fell to the floor, leaving me in only a black lace bra and thong.

"So sexy," he whispered in my ear as he kissed my neck.

Excerpt:

He continued to sing, the lyrical, lilting Italian words caressing her spirit and pulling her closer to him. When she finally stepped into the chamber where he was, she stared in wonder. The room was lit with what appeared to be a thousand candles, their soft glow reflecting off the polished wooden floor and throwing frenetic shadows everywhere. Seated at the piano was a slender man, dressed all in black. His hair was dark, and the hands that whispered over the keys of the instrument were long-fingered and elegant. Hands shaped for making love in any form he chose.

He played the last notes of the mesmerizing song and slowly turned to look at her. His dark eyes glittered, flames dancing wildly in their ebony depths, and he held out his hand to draw her forward. She went to him and dropped to her knees, head bowed, tears streaking her face as she let the hood of her cape fall to hide her shame.

“You came to end my life. Why?”

“I cannot bear the pain of not knowing you.”

“But you do know me. I am part of you.”

“You are madness!” She retorted with real anger surging into her being, giving her strength and making her look up at him. “You have taken everything!”

“I took nothing,” he admonished with gentle warmth. “I am part of you.”

“How can that be?”

He smiled. She felt the kiss of his indulgence touch her heart.

“You created me,” he murmured. “The night he died, you gave me life.”

She was confused, and the room was suddenly growing colder with each beat of her heart.

“Why did you let me find you?”

He tilted his head to one side and considered her question.

“Perhaps because it is time for me to return the gift of life to you, tesoro mio?”

“You can’t,” she whispered, the quiet words shaken and harsh. “There is no life for me now.”

“There is always life in death, amore,” he murmured as he leaned closer and pried the blade from her hand beneath the heavy cloak. “Let me show you forever.”

She gasped in fright and pain as he slashed the dagger’s edge across her palm and brought the bleeding hand to his mouth. When his tongue played over her flesh she felt the mists of the night invade her brain, and blackness reached out to pull her into a chasm that exploded into fire racing along her veins… As the world changed around her and within her, she heard his sweet voice whispering to her…

There is always life in death, amore mio… when I am death… come with me, share our journey…

“Yes…”

She heard the word, distant, torn from her soul purely by the power and depth of her need to know him, to know all of him, at whatever price he asked. The ache in her body pulled at her, made her feel light and heavy with conflicting desires.

The dagger flashed again, slowly, gently slicing through the tie that held her cape together at her throat. It slid away and he smiled with satisfaction when he saw the crimson silk she wore, a simple dress that wrapped around her like the arms of a lover… She had been wearing this pretty gown the night they’d first seen each other, choosing it had seem right somehow.

The gleaming stiletto blade moved once more, and candlelight flickered against the shining silver as he delicately cut the tie that held the dress up. He set the knife on the piano and with the backs of his hands barely touching her skin, he smoothed the shape of her collarbones, then retraced them with the sensitive pads of his fingertips. The calluses from hours spent playing the piano added another sensual layer to the rippling sensation that was fanning outward, running though her veins like blood.

@Shades_of_Rose presents Sean's Sweetheart @Allie_Kincheloe #bookblast #romance

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Layer by layer, Talia peeled away his resistance.

Sean has spent five years cleaning up his life. He’s shoved his past behind him and built a profitable business in the town’s most popular dance club. Falling in love with a college sophomore wasn’t in his plans. But, from the moment he rescued Talia, she brings out his every protective instinct. He tries to resist getting involved on a personal level. Talia’s persistence, however, is stronger than his will.

Despite just ending an abusive relationship, Talia finds an instant connection with a man unlike any she’s dated before. Older, tattooed, and totally inappropriate for her, Talia couldn’t keep Sean off her mind, especially once he calls her “sweetheart” in that deep drawl of his.

When Talia is in danger, they discover just how strong their relationship is. Can Sean and his sweetheart make things last when horrors from their pasts come back to haunt them and family seems determined to keep them apart?

~Excerpt~

With his hand on the small of her back as a guide, he directed her out the back door to the service alley. He led her over to a big black Harley and held a helmet out to her.

“Uh…” A motorcycle? Why couldn’t he have a sports car or a truck? Of course a tattooed bartender would drive a motorcycle.

The smug look on his face made her want to prove his assumptions wrong. Prove to him she wasn’t a goody-goody, scared shitless to climb on top of a motor with wheels and fly down the road under someone else’s control.

“It’s this or you call someone.”

Screw that.

She snatched the helmet from his hand. Talia gave him the address and fiddled with the strap, trying to figure out how to adjust it. His hands came up to tighten it for her and their fingers brushed. She sucked in a deep breath at his touch. His low chuckle took that spark of anger and kindled it into a blaze of desire. With the street lamps behind him, she couldn’t read his expression. His hand closed over hers for a brief second before he jerked it away. He straddled the bike and pulled his own helmet on.

She climbed on behind him and he started the motor. Talia jumped at the sudden roar of the engine and clung tight to his broad back. His chest shook with laughter beneath her hands. Talia relaxed a bit as the bike moved and they didn’t crash. She slid her arms around his waist and started to enjoy the ride, to enjoy the feel of holding a man.

She’d never been on a motorcycle before. Had never wrapped her arms around a complete stranger like this, either. She didn’t know his name, but she knew the strength in his muscles and the rhythm of his breathing. When she hugged him tighter, her fingers slipped through the button placket on his shirt. Instead of removing her hand, she combed through the tangle of hair on his chest, surprising herself with her boldness. His hand dropped back to squeeze hers for a moment, but he didn’t pull her hand away.

The ride ended too soon when he rolled the bike to a stop in front of her house. She stumbled getting off the bike, but he caught her before she face-planted on the sidewalk. He even walked her up to the door and waited behind her on the porch while she tried to unlock it. Her trembling hand dropped the keys and he bent to grab them before she could react.

“My name’s Sean, by the way.” He unlocked the door for her and handed her keys back.

“Sean. That’s a very nice name. It fits you. I’m Talia.” Did he expect to come in? They had just met and she still had a boyfriend, at least until she could find the nerve to dump the jerk. She’d never been the cheating type.

He leaned one broad shoulder against the wall next to the door and stared down at her. Shadows hid part of his face from her, but his eyes glittered in the dim light.

Sean’s chest rumbled with a deep chuckle. “Would you’ve said the same thing if I’d told you that my name was Bruno?”

A giggle snuck out. Bruno? Not a chance Bruno would fit him.

Shades of Rose Media presents The Justice Fraternity Chronicles @StephBeck123

Genre: Fantasy/Superhero Romance

Saving the world and falling in love.

Launch into action with the Justice Fraternity Chronicles. Meet the team—Man of Wonder, Dinah-Go, Crypto-Man, and Sparrow—as they face the evil doers of Silver City and beyond.

Super Love: Man of Wonder lost Dinah-Go once, back when their only identities were the ones behind their masks. Now, as Myles, he is out to win Dinah's heart and bring her back to the life she loves as a superhero.

Crypto Love: Sidekick extraordinaire, Crypto Man is all about being a hero. He fights beside Man of Wonder but is questioning his place in the Justice Fraternity. When something fishy is going on in his old hometown, Crypto Man heads over to check it out. Teaming up with Penna Banena—a supermodel with superhero dreams—wasn't in his plan, but it might be time for Crypto Man to be more than a sidekick.

Fallen Love: Broken-hearted Sparrow and the brilliant Dr. Erica Simons must work together for the betterment of superheroes everywhere. Her research could change the world…if Sparrow can keep her alive long enough to share it. An old foe emerges, and Sparrow will have more than inner demons to fight if he hopes to win the day, and the doctor's heart.

Content Warning: This book contains scenes of epic bad guy butt-kicking and delightful displays of sexy affection—sometimes on the same page. No capes required.

Super Love Excerpt:

"If I come home…I'm going to need time and training." The words tripped past Dinah's lips before she could think of the hundred other reasons she should send Myles away and search out a new way to be worthwhile. "I've kept up my speed, but I haven't used my other powers since the train incident."

Myles sighed and tucked her closer. "Lately it seems like every crazy person who can do something dangerous and violent does it. I don't have a lot of time, but we'll get you back to fighting weight. I've got a few new heroes who will help too."

She supposed it was too much to ask for things to have remained unchanged. She had been Myles's main partner. Not sidekick, she was simply too badass to be a sidekick, but the last she'd heard, Man of Wonder worked with Crypto Man, a man-beast with ruthless speed and strength. She couldn't expect Myles to make room for her at his side when she wasn't even sure she could fight any more.

Myles kissed down the side of her neck and to her shoulder, resting there a long moment. "Things will be different this time, but I've missed you so much. We'll make a new start. It will be great."

Dinah brought his hand to her lips and kissed his palm, the strong, amazing palm that had moments before helped bring her amazing pleasure. "I've missed you too. I'm ready to go home."

Crypto Love Excerpt:

Penna closed her door and leaned against it, a little giddy at having her dream man in her quarters. He stalked around, disdain on his face. The look alone made her hot.

"What are we doing in here? You gonna jump me or something?" Crypto Man asked.

So blunt. After the fussy manners The Warden demanded as part of the class, the straight honesty endeared him to her. This is who she was waiting for.

"Want me to?"

He turned to her sharply. "I'm pretty sure I can kick your ass."

"Oh, you meant that jump." She sauntered closer, closing the distance between them with hips more than anything. "I thought you meant seduction."

He snorted. "Yeah, right. Why am I here?"

She ran her hand up his chest. "Are you sure you're so willing to pass on the seduction? I hate to sound immodest, but what I lack in superhero skills, I make up for in enthusiastic screwing."

He wrapped his fingers around her wrist, stilling her progress. The intensity in his eyes warred with something she thought might be disbelief. Maybe she came on too strong.

"Fine," she said and added a bright smile. "Business first."

He let her loose and stalked toward her bookshelf. She sat on the single bed to watch him. His animalistic stealth appealed to her at a very base level. She couldn't believe how quickly her desire sparked and blazed. She crossed her legs. Business first.

Fallen Love Excerpt:

"You look so happy," Erica said.

Sparrow leaned on his forearms on the marble island, a light blush warming his cheeks. "I am happy, and I have you to thank. I didn't consider the possibility of being happy in life again. I planned to survive for Ruby, but couldn't ask to thrive. I'm excited for the first time in years."

"I can't tell you how pleased I am. Do you have any other concerns? You might still have aftereffects. The surgery is very new, and I can't say other things won't come up."

He reached across the counter and took her hands. Erica swallowed hard and tried to keep her face expressionless, even as her heart raced.

Sparrow tilted his head, gazing deep into her eyes. "I have concerns about how I can thank you for everything. I know the fraternity donated to your research, but I want to do more."

"Oh." The gift Man of Wonder gave more than covered her operating costs for the next year. Money, when it came to working with supers, didn't usually raise problems. "I really want you to not worry about it. This helped me with my research. I understand the super brain more now than I did before. This research will allow me, and others, to make strides in quality of life."

He shook his head and squeezed her fingers, his warm hands soft and strong. "There has to be more. What can I do for you?"

Her mouth went completely dry as her mind ran directly to the plethora of things she wanted him to do to her. Tangled limbs. Hot, wet kisses. Deep, throaty moans and miles of pleasure.

"Would you like to fly?" he asked. "I could take you flying."

Tomi Ito and Gillian Edgemont have held the political arm on track, but when she's accused of the ultimate betrayal only Tomi can save the woman he's loved for years.

Content Warning: this book contains hot, sexy scenes, butt-kicking heroines, and strong, hunky heroes

War's End Excerpt:

"Sit down." Renjiro's terse words filled Selina with pain and sadness.

She acceded to his request in silence, holding her throbbing hand against her breast. He squatted before her, his face close to hers, his dark eyes shadowed. His touch was gentle as his fingers traced the line of her jaw. They shook a little and she felt the glancing caress. It warmed her.

He touched a raw spot on her chin and she hissed involuntarily.

"Where else are you injured?"

Selina shook her head.

"Captain Codecko? Selina?"

His gentle words nearly undid her. Tears burned in her eyes and she blinked, hoping to banish them. It didn't work though. They dripped down her face, scalding her frozen cheeks.

Now his hands dropped to her shoulders. "Where else are you hurt, Selina?" His gaze was hypnotic. It drew her words without thought.

"My hand, ribs, and the top of my head."

He frowned and started tugging at her shirt, pulling it free of the loose-fitting pants.

"What… What are you doing?"

He glanced at her, his face taut and strained. "I'm checking your injuries."

The Assassin Excerpt:

The small craft Carmichael and Tomi traveled in approached an imposing tower, slowing and dropping to the plascrete surface with a slight bump before rolling to a stop in an empty bay. The doors opened and both men climbed out.

A man approached, and Carmichael guessed he was maybe fifty. He's carefully preserved, he thought, noting the impeccable gray suit and discreet adornments. He wasn't tall, but his black hair sprinkled with silver was as immaculate as his clothing. In his uniform, Carmichael felt crumpled before the picture of sartorial elegance. No doubt this was the kind of man Kumi appreciated. He pulled himself up short. He wasn't there to further his relationship prospects. He had a job to do.

"Madam Kumi is expecting you, Senator. Your friend, however…" The man frowned slightly as he indicated with his perfectly manicured hands toward the seating area.

"He is with me."

The man nodded, but his eyes narrowed. "She has requested privacy for your meeting."

Tomi moved through the doorway and Carmichael shadowed him. "Thank you, Dobry."

Carmichael filed the name away. Never know what will be the piece of information that will solve the puzzle.

Once inside, the door closed with an audible snick. Behind a large wooden desk overflowing with files was Kumi. As elegant as ever in a silver-gray suit. Kumi wasn't a tall or large woman, but with her golden toned skin and tip-tilted brown eyes she drew the eye. Her short, dark hair was worn in a bob that framed her pixie-shaped face.

She looked soft. Womanly. He also knew she had a spine of pure steel. He'd already seen it in action the night he'd
squired her at the commitment ceremony.

She smiled as she rose. "Well, Tomi. Whatever this is, it had better be good."

Carmichael noted her bare feet with a grin.

Kumi obviously noticed him and his quick glance. She came to a standstill, frowning before stepping in his direction, then stopped in front of him. Her gaze dipped to her feet and she blushed the most charming pink tinge along her high cheekbones. "Oh, dear. Do forgive me, Captain." She wiggled the toes which peeked out from under her long, flowing pants.

"There is nothing to forgive, Madam Kumi." He watched her fluid movements and admired her curves. She was sleek and lithe, and his body tightened at the thought of what lay under the light silk jacket.

Executing Justice Excerpt:

Tension rose in the cabin, thick and heady. The rescuer plunged into the cold waters. A harness was handed over and gripped while the officer dealt with the other. From the movements, Gillian could tell that the person was panicked. Slowly, the first harness rose and she could tell it wasn't Tomi, as the person had long hair and bare legs. She sucked in a breath as the second person in the water was assisted into another harness, then he or she rose with the rescuer. Even though she craned, the outline of the officer obscured her view. She sucked in an unsteady breath, clenched her hands together, and waited.

When Gillian was sure she could last no longer, the door opened with a bang. She quickly looked up, anticipation sizzling along every nerve ending.

There in the doorway was Tomi, wet and shivering, but very much alive. In his arms was a woman, bedraggled and dirty, but he held her so tenderly that any hopes or dreams Gillian harbored melted away. There was never any hope for her and the feelings that burned in her chest.

Without a word, Gillian turned away and fought the sting of tears in her eyes. She noted the sounds of joyous reunion between brother and sister, but she kept her gaze averted, to give them privacy, she piously told herself. When the pilot ordered them strapped in, she breathed a silent sigh of relief. She knew that this torture, him being so close but now forever so far away, would come to an end sooner rather than later.

Just as she was sure she'd be spared, Tomi spoke. "Gillian, thank you for coming to find me."

The clog of tears filled her throat, but she managed to croak, "It was nothing."

"It means a lot to me." He reached out and touched her hand, and she bit back the gasp that rose.

Nerves in her hand jumped and thrummed, but she ignored them. "Honestly, I'm just pleased I could help." She glanced in his direction, taken aback by the directness in his gaze before the woman beside him shuddered. He scooped her closer and Gillian turned away.

@GoddessFish presents Tessa by Ali Baran

Tessa
by Ali Baran

BLURB:

Years of wisdom have taught Randal that it’s not the destination but the journey that makes everything  worthwhile. When the tentative friendship between silver fox Randal and young Tessa bursts into lust, it ignites a passionate affair that leaves them both trembling. There’s nothing more fulfilling than a  beautiful woman in the arms of a man who can appreciate everything she has to offer.

As Randal embarks on a second career and Tessa is preparing for her chosen field, Randal’s daughter flounders in a sea of depression. When Randal’s love for his daughter is pitted against his love for Tessa, can there be a winner?

EXCERPT:

In the water, Randal didn’t act like an invalid. Those piercing blue eyes sparkled and his body was ripped, better any guy Tessa had dated. The man was damn sexy, and in the week she’d known him, she’d grown to like him—maybe too much. Way too
much. Aside from a few thin, pink scar lines over his knees, no one would have believed he was living in a wheel chair.

He trapped her against the side of the pool and held her prisoner between his arms.

She turned and faced him. Now she stared into those beautiful blue orbs and caught the grin that crinkled the skin at the outer edges of his eyes. “You have the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen.”

“And you have a beautiful body.”

She inhaled as he drew himself nearer. His breath flowed over her face. She closed her eyes and she prayed he’d kiss her.

A finger touched her jaw, and she opened her eyes. He was inches from her with a warm smile on his face. Heaving in a deep breath, she hoped to cool the sensation building in her, but she couldn’t stop it. She tried to imagine his lips on hers. His finger traced her entire face, including her lips. She parted her mouth and touched her tongue to his roaming finger.

“Damn woman. You’re giving me an erection.”

She cast her gaze toward his trunks but she couldn’t stop the grin that was pulling on the edges of her lips.

His finger went down her neck and followed the edge of her bikini top. Her chest rose with his touch. Heat flowed through her, settling between her legs. She had never been one to have casual sex, but she was not a virgin. Right now, she wanted fulfillment. She tried to tell herself that older men weren’t usually capable of sexual intercourse, but somehow she figured this man was quite capable. His fingers splayed over her breast. And a moan escaped from someplace deep in her throat. She wanted to wrap her legs around his waist and pull him closer to her.

She pushed past him and headed for the stairs. She had to get a grip on her feelings because inside she felt as though she was about to shatter into a million pieces.

He followed her. “Tessa, I’m sorry if I’ve offended you. I meant no harm.”

She turned and touched her fingers to his lips. “We’re adults.”

“Don’t leave. I won’t do it again. But seeing you has awakened something inside of me.”

“Yeah. I know that feeling.” She walked up the stairs and found a towel before turning back to him. “Do you need help getting out?”

“No, not yet. I need to swim some more. I try to swim every morning that I don’t have therapy. You just aren’t here. So to answer your question, yes, I can get in and out by myself.”

She settled onto a chase lounge and watched him in the water. He was as graceful as a dolphin as he swam lap after lap. She couldn’t help but admire his body. Even his legs had beautiful muscle definition. Inside, she still quaked. There was something about him—something dangerously sexy, and she felt it to her toes.

After another twenty minutes or so, he pulled himself out of the water and onto his wheelchair. Silver hair was plastered to his chest, legs, and arms. The navy blue trunks left little to the imagination.

“You can stand?”

“Of course. But I’m not supposed to be on my feet. Actually, it hurts like hell, which is why my daughter hired you. I tried to do too much too soon, then wound up falling and doing more damage. That set me back a few months, as I had to have another round of surgery. His hands gripped the outer wheels of his chair, and he headed toward the house.

“Need help?”

He shot her a wicked grin. “Not unless you want to help me get naked.”

She cocked her head as what he said sank in. “Oh. I’m a broke student, but I’m not a whore.”

He rolled to where she was sitting and grabbed her foot. “I didn’t think you were.”

His fingers caressed the bottom of her feet, and she attempted to stifle another moan. “I’m not a toy.”

“As I said, I didn’t think you were.”

His hands made their way further up her legs, massaging each little inch of flesh. Slow and gentle, it felt wonderful. He inched higher, and she put her hand down to stop him. He captured her hand in his and began to tenderly knead each finger, then her palm.

“You’re tense. You need to relax.”

She swallowed and closed her eyes. Her very fiber was being torn apart. Part of her told her to stop him, and the other part greedily wallowed in his sexual attention. The self-indulgent part was winning. Heat swirled through her system and caused her nipples to bead. Then she felt his lips on her palm. She squirmed when her labia twitched. His lips made their way up her arm to her neck. Tiny kisses, little nips, and an occasional swirl of his tongue graced her skin.

Never before had she had a man touch her in such a way. She moaned as he nibbled on her earlobe. She knew she was horny, and he was pushing all the right buttons to ramp her desire.

Meet @CA_Knoble author of Night's Companion #RomFantasy

Author BIO: Although she has been writing her entire life, Cynthia has just recently, as she puts it "grew a pair" and decided to take the leap and finally share her work with others. She has several other titles, in varying genres, that will be published in the future. A graduate of culinary school, she is also the mother of two boys. She lives in southern Ontario, Canada with her sons, a dog and a cat.

Our Interview:

Has writing been something you always did, or was it a discovered talent that came to you at a later point?

I have always written, ever since I was a child. It has always been cathartic and relaxing and the only thing I longed to do and to share with others but I never believed my writing was good enough. My writing has always taken a back seat to work, then having a family and starting a career and was something that I rarely indulged in over my adult life. Three years ago I became too ill to work in my chosen profession, I’m a trained chef, and began to write again. I finally worked up the courage to show some of it to friends and family members and they have encouraged me to publish it.

Do you remember how it felt when you were offered that first contract? What emotions stand out in your memory?

I’m self-published on Amazon through their Kindle Direct Publishing. It is still my ambition to be published traditionally. It had always been my dream to walk into a bookstore and see a display of books with my name on them. Insofar as the self-publishing goes, I was extremely proud of myself for taking the chance and getting the book out there. Until recently I’ve never had the nerve to even show my writing to anyone so I am proud of how much I have accomplished in that time.

Is this a first book, part of a series, or the latest in a long line of many?

This book is not part of a series although I have developed quite an affinity for one of its characters, Kord. As he is a vampire, so much could be done with his character, especially his past, and that is something that was only briefly touched on in Night’s Companion as the novel really is the female protagonist’s story. I have thought about writing more about Kord and I have been asked to. I may do so in the future but for now the story is finished.

What is the oddest thing that’s happened to you since you chose to become a professional writer? Will it ever make it into a book, or is that a secret?

Ooooh! Am I a professional? Lol. I suppose time will tell.

Do you have your next book underway, or other titles in the planning stages?

I do have another book I’m currently writing, several in the planning stages, one awaiting revisions, a few finished ones from the past that I am debating the merits of, and a trilogy that is completely finished but I’m holding onto right now to see if I can get it published traditionally.

Do you have a favourite genre and why? Is it one you write in, read in, or both?

I love horror, I always have, and I read more horror than anything else although my tastes span many genres. The trilogy I mentioned is a horror whereas Night’s Companion is definitely erotica with a hint of horror. I love to write erotica and have at least a few more erotic titles up my sleeve.

What, to you, is the most exciting part of the writing process? Does it change from book to book or remain the same?

To me the most exciting part of the writing process is to see it come together, to see the idea take shape and fill in and, in some cases, completely change from what I originally planned. Sometimes I’m very surprised with the end product as it may not resemble the initial idea I had at all. Sometimes I only have a vague idea of where I’m headed with a story and I’m along for the ride to find out what is going to happen just as the reader will be when she reads it. The process does seem to change from book to book. The trilogy was an amazing experience: three full novels that seemed to just flow out of me, written in only eleven months. It almost seemed as if I channeled them, they came out so fully developed. With others it was a definite struggle to finish them. To me writing is a process that is quite fluid and very changeable.

If you could co-author a book with anyone, who would you choose and why? What kind of book do you think would come from the collaboration?

What a great question although it is a hard one to answer! I would choose Stephen White and I think we would create a very sexy thriller.

Blurb:

Kord is sexy, controlling and just too hot for Michelle to resist beginning a torrid sexual tryst with him, even if he is her new boarder. Mysterious, charming and more than capable of fulfilling every fantasy Michelle has ever had, she finds it easy to ignore the questions others raise about Kord’s odd behavior. When both of their violent pasts collide in their conjoined present, Michelle’s very life will hang in the balance as Kord struggles with a horrid choice: save Michelle or protect his true identity; lose his human lover or expose his true nature.

Excerpt:

“Patience,” he said softly, his voice raspy.
Michelle had no patience now and she squirmed under him and she tried to pull her arms from his tight grasp as she shook her head again.

“I can’t wait.”

She received nothing but another sly grin from Kord. Holding her wrists tightly he moved them to pin them on the mattress at her sides now, allowing him more room to move. His mouth was upon her again, on her belly now and she moaned as she found herself pinned down by his body, his chest and shoulders held her legs in place. Her vagina pulsated at being denied the opportunity to rub against him. His tongue swirled over her impassioned skin, his teeth rubbing against the moistened flesh and Michelle moaned loudly as she imagined his mouth repeating those movements lower down.

“Kord… please,” she begged him.

His movements grew slower and she realized he was punishing her for her lack of patience. She tried to pull her arms free angered by his reaction even as she throbbed greedily with the knowledge she was being punished. He held her fast and she stopped struggling. She did not want him to let go of her wrists; she was way too aroused for that. She was dripping wet now. She could smell her own arousal and she moaned again as she closed her eyes and gave in to Kord utterly.
